airea Project 02

— bringing Stuttgart's restaurants to your home.

A captivating Food & Lifestyle Magazine that celebrates the vibrant food scene of Stuttgart City. It goes beyond being a guide to local restaurants, cafes and bars; it serves as a powerful platform to promote these establishments during the challenging times of Covid-19, where many of them were forced to shut their doors.

airea seamlessly blends informative content with artistic elements, elevating it beyond a mere food guide. A work of art, captivating readers through a combination of witty quotes, multi-layered pictures, and thought-provoking discussions.

The magazine raises awareness about the importance of supporting local businesses, encouraging readers to dine out and engage with the community, when the shutdown is over.

The result is a vibrant blend of 34 recipes from Stuttgart's beloved classics to hidden gems.

With the clean and minimalist layout, it provides enough space for captivating visuals and engaging copy. Giving each recipe room to "breathe".

My commitment to uniqueness and recognition is evident throughout the magazine. I've carefully curated a dynamic page design that keeps things fresh. Recipes seamlessly alternate between starting on the left and right pages, adding an element of surprise without overwhelming the reader.

In my pursuit of perfection I consciously decided to not place advertisements. This deliberate choice ensures that the magazine's integrity and value remain uncompromised, keeping the spotlight firmly on its content.

My dedication to sustainability was also important. I've limited our print run to just 250 copies, emphasizing quality over quantity. The use of recycled paper further underscores my commitment to a greener future.

Adding a dash of fun to the times of Covid-19.

Corona was a challenging time for everyone, so my concept for the photo shooting was to create a touch of humor and creativity. In the magazine project we set out to do just that by tackling the topic of Corona in a light-hearted and entertaining way.

We understood that during this period, many could relate to the simple joys of staying home, indulging in board games, video games, puzzles and embracing a more relaxed dress code. These relatable activities became the heart of our magazine's content. We decided to playfully depict these themes with a twist of controversy and humor.

We've ensured that our choice of models reflects diversity, acknowledging that the theme of our magazine resonates with everyone. The models confidently displayed themselves in exaggerated model poses and engaged in whimsical actions to infuse a sense of fun into every page. The aim was to grab the attention of the readers and bring a smile to their faces, even during the most uncertain times. Each recipe in the magazine was given its unique concept and theme, ensuring that flipping through the pages was not just informative but also an enjoyable experience.

It’s a lifestyle.

airea believes that life is a fusion of flavors, experiences and moments. The magazine is more than just a recipe book, it's a lifestyle, a journey of taste and an exploration of Stuttgart's culinary wonders.

To bring this to life, I organized a Social Media shooting for the magazine. The mission was to communicate that airea offers an experience that extends far beyond Stuttgart. It was to convey that the magazine inspires all individuals, no matter where they live. Strong imagery and rich storytelling were used to showcase the brand identity.
