airea Project 03
— how does Stuttgart sound? Listen and learn.
An innovative Music & Lifestyle Magazine that celebrates the vibrant music scene of the city of Stuttgart, Germany. With a focus on local artists and businesses involved in the field of music, the magazine aims to showcase the exciting individuals and venues in the area, sharing their stories, struggles and successes. The overarching goal is to create awareness and foster a sense of community, emphasizing the importance of supporting one another in the music industry.
Rather than the traditional interviewer-interviewee dynamic, the magazine actively involves and evolves with the individuals being featured. The entire process becomes a collaborative journey. This allows each article to capture the personality and essence of the interviewed party, resulting in truly unique and authentic content.
The result is a vibrant snapshot of the music scene from Stuttgart, featuring 10 interviews with diverse musicians and locations that revolve around the world of music. It's a harmonious blend of sound, stories and style, celebrating the spirit of our local talents.
With its minimalist design, the magazine picks up on the aesthetics of its predecessor while creating its own identity.
Just like the first magazine, I made a conscious decision not to use advertisements. However, in this issue I have designed a double-page spread entitled "Short voluntary advertising break" that includes a QR leading to the sponsors. This way, sponsors can still be involved after the magazine is published. It's a win-win situation: readers only consume the advertising if they want to and sponsors can track the link.
Based on demand, I limited the copies to 1,000. This ensured that my commitment to sustainability would remain even if we increased the reach. I also used recycled paper here, which also shows my commitment to a greener future.
Vivid Perspectives.
Again my goal was to create humorous images, attract attention and awake curiosity. Each image carries its own message, which comes from the interviews we conducted. They are intended to be thought-provoking, to raise awareness of important issues, but also to be an entertaining experience.
The airea magazine is more than just informative – it's a form of art driven by activism, waiting for readers to discover and interpret it for themselves.
The models, chosen thoughtfully to reflect our magazine's broad appeal, confidently embraced exaggerated poses and quirky actions, bringing fun to every page. The goal remained clear: to capture readers' attention.

A Coffee Table Chronicle.
This magazine is more than just a music magazine, it's more like a captivating coffee table book. Designed to inspire and entice you to pick it up time and time again, it's not meant for a single read-through.
To illustrate this, I organized a social media photo shoot that encapsulates the essence of the magazine. In each visual, the brand identity becomes visible and invites you to dive deeper into the magazine with each turn of the page.
